PMHNP Students
Precept with Us
Are you a PMHNP student seeking preceptorship? We receive dozens of requests weekly and understand it is difficult to secure a rotation. Despite our love of learning, we have very limited spots available each year. Because of the limits, we are looking for students that best fit our practice values and expectations.

We are a radically liberal practice - I designed my practice to acknowledge that healthcare is political. If you are not on this side of the political spectrum or you don't care about politics, this is not the rotation spot for you.

You are expected to know your content extensively. You are expected to perform evaluations and follow ups after a day of observation. We are hands on. You will be evaluated on your willingness to learn before, during and after clinical sessions. You are expected to look things up and read books/articles to expand your knowledge. You are expected to show up and be passionate about what you're learning about. You're expected to understand the social determinants of health, health disparities and the effect racism has on psychiatry.
If this feels like a good fit, send a (very) personalized cover letter and resume to maria@paperflowerpsychiatry.com -- I do not entertain generic cover letters. Tell me about your passions for public health, reducing health disparities, activism, volunteer work.
